Taranaki local family Tim and Fiona Jackson has launched a new Four Square location on Devon Street East in Fitzroy.

The first Four Square store in Taranaki features a modern appearance while paying tribute to its ‘Cheeky Charlie’ persona. The new facility has 4000 goods split across four aisles.

The space includes 250sqm of shopping space, five checkouts, two self-checkouts and five car parks.

This is the ninth new location built by Foodstuffs North Island this year, following the recent openings of Four Square Britomart Downtown Auckland, Mount Maunganui, and Waverley.

Chris Quin, chief executive of Foodstuffs North Island, says Four Square Fitzroy is an example of how the co-op and its members are investing in their developing communities.

“Our co-operative is 100 per cent New Zealand owned and operated, and every year we invest about $100 million into building new stores and redeveloping older stores to ensure Kiwis in every community across the motu have access to fresh food and essentials right on their doorstep.”

Each new Four Square has been designed to the latest specifications, which Foodstuffs is implementing across the country. This new style prioritises fresh produce, technology, and low prices.
