Westfield Newmarket unveils 20 new retailers to open in October

Westfield Newmarket announced 20 new retailers to join the centre’s second level starting October 3, and continuing to launch throughout the month.

According to centre-owner Scentre Group, Sass & Bide, Merchant 1948, Husk, Cue, Gorman, Scarpa, Tigerlily, Swarvoski, Aje, Walker & Hall, Rodd & Gunn, The Athelete’s Foot, and Bed Bath & Table will open over the course of October.

Platypus, Torpedo 7 and Noel Leeming opened in the centre on Thursday.

“The transformation of Westfield Newmarket is well underway, with October set to deliver more, new and unique experiences to the community across food and fashion,” Scentre Group chief operating officer Greg Miles said.

“The new rooftop dining precinct, Rooftop on Broadway, is a true demonstration of what sets Westfield Newmarket apart as a living centre.”

The rooftop precinct will open on October 10, and will house restaurants including Inca, The Bavarian, Island Gelato, and Ippudo Ramen.

The centre saw the first stage of its $790 million redevelopment open on August 29, launching with 40 stores – a figure set to increase to 200 by the end of 2019.

The centre will house Auckland’s first David Jones, as well as New Zealand’s first Lego store, later in the year.
