The new store comes less than a week after General Pants launched its latest concept in Parramatta, which was tailored specifically to its own local customer base.

The new Country Road store will serve as the basis for a new retail concept for the business as it looks to remain relevant in Australia’s competitive discretionary retail environment.

It spans across three levels, boasting high ceilings and a light colour pallet that matches the local Bondi area.

Country Road managing director Darren Todd said designers considered how customers naturally move through stores and adjusted the position of stairs and walkways to suit.

“Our shoppers are at the heart of everything we do and we are constantly innovating to offer them unique, engaging and personalised experiences that fit their busy lifestyle,” he said.

Store designer Kelvin Ho said the space was designed to accentuate the changing textures of Bondi’s coastline, while also speaking to the heritage of the Country Road brand.

“We have transofmed the way customers move threough the space by giving special consideration to the physicality of the journey,” Ho said.

“The key was to make the flow between each department feel different with an encompassing brand message, the more authentic and real we can make the space [the more] it allows customers to connect.”

Country Road has launched a series of master classes with interior stylist Jason Grant and celebrity stylist Marina Didovich to celebrate the launch.

The activation, called CR. Concierge, has been designed to provide personalised services to shoppers, including valet parking, hands free shopping and express check out.
