Final preparations are now underway for the opening of New World Te Atatu supermarket next week.
Owner-operators Scott and Ashleigh Jackson have shifted the focus to preparing the team, testing equipment and making sure everything is ready for customers.
Over the coming days, shelves will be stocked, finishing touches will be completed, and the store’s fresh departments will be ready for opening.
Team members have taken extensive training, while the bakery has begun test baking to fine-tune products, equipment and processes.
According to Foodstuffs North Island, the new supermarket represents a significant investment in West Auckland and reflects the long-term commitment locally owned New World owner-operators make to the communities they serve.
The store will create approximately 100 local jobs and will provide customers with full-service offerings, including fresh produce, butchery, seafood, bakery, deli and grocery departments.
“We chose to invest in Te Atatu because we believe in the community and its future,” said Scott. “We’re here for the long term and look forward to playing our part by providing great service, creating local jobs and supporting the area as it continues to grow.”
Ashleigh added, “Everything is coming together, and we’re ready to welcome customers into the store. We look forward to becoming part of the community and providing another great place for local people to shop.”
New World Te Atatu will officially open next Tuesday, August 11.
