New Zealand-based Cooks Coffee has reported a half-year revenue growth of 111 per cent to NZ$5.77 million for a six-month period, ending on September 30, 2025.
Cooks said that $2.5 million of its $3.03 million revenue increase came from company-managed stores in Ireland, where the group has a partnership with the Irish dairy co-operative Dairygold and operates Esquires, an organic coffee company.
“The board is pleased to report a strong period of growth. This is a testament to the hard work of all our franchisees, regional developers in the UK and the strong offering that we provide,” Aiden Keegan, CEO of Cooks Coffee Company, said.
There were 96 operating stores in the UK and Ireland at the end of September, up from 89 at the end of March 2025. During this period, Cooks saw 14 sites open and five close – with the company planning eight more stores in the UK, and four more in Ireland by the end of March 2026.
Executive chairman Keith Jackson said Cooks is continuing to seek development opportunities in the British Isles.
“The regional development model’s expansion across the UK will help accelerate network growth; the company is actively seeking regional development partners for Scotland and Northern Ireland,” he said.
“The group continues to open new stores in desirable locations in market towns and suburbs, plus new housing developments. We are also delighted with the new partnership arrangements with Tesco and Next, and the group expects to deliver a robust set of numbers for the full year.”
In May this year, an agreement was signed with Sterling Coffee Houses to develop the Esquires brand for India. Cooks expects the first stores to open before the end of the financial year.
