Cooks Coffee saw solid growth in sales across all markets during the year ended March 31.

Sales from the company’s UK and Ireland franchisees rose 33 per cent year-on-year to NZ$79.6 million.

In the UK, store sales were up 38 per cent to $55.6 million. Store sales in Ireland were up by 22 per cent to $24.1 million.

Its group revenue rose from $4.7 million to $7 million, representing a 49 per cent increase. This growth included $1 million attributed to the sale of Dairygold stores.

“These results reflect the strength of our franchise model, our focus on community-driven locations like market towns and suburban hubs, and our commitment to quality,” said CEO Aiden Keegan.

“The focus on market towns, housing developments and suburban locations has been an important contributor along with the focus on organic coffee products and an enhanced food offering with local sourcing where possible, delivered by local owners of the franchised stores,” he said.

The company’s EBITDA grew from $336,000 to $1.4 million year-on-year.

The company remains on track to achieve its goal of 300 stores by 2034, given its current tally of 93 open stores as of this May.
