Victoria’s Secret is set to open a store at Auckland Airport next year, in partnership with Lagadere, which operates the airport’s duty-free concessions.
The new Victoria’s Secret store will be the brand’s first full-range store in New Zealand, offering a range of products including fragrances, lingerie, sleepwear, body care, and branded apparel.
“The expansion in the Asia-Pacific region represents a significant step forward in our global growth strategy and our commitment to bringing the iconic Victoria’s Secret experience to customers worldwide,” said Helly Ding, VP of travel retail at Victoria’s Secret.
“Our airside retail offering is going to be transformed over the coming year, bringing a fresh, modern experience to AKL that goes beyond traditional shopping,” said Mark Thomson, COO of Auckland Airport.
“Through redesigning the duty-free offering with Lagardere, it means we can welcome more brands and products and integrate more unique experiences worth making time for,” said Thomson.
“This is just the beginning of a series of changes that travellers can expect to see in the next year. In addition to Victoria’s Secret, the Auckland Duty Free offer will undergo a significant transformation in both departures and arrivals,” he said.
As part of Auckland Airport’s revamp strategy, in partnership with Lagardere, the airport’s duty-free area is projected to welcome more international brands, with expanded categories such as fragrance, cosmetics, beauty and wellness.
“The airport will also be evolving the overall airside offer beyond duty-free, including food and beverage as well as the dining and dwell areas. We look forward to revealing more plans soon,” said Thomson.
