Beauty retailer The Body Shop will return to New Zealand with the launch of an online store and a physical shop at Richmond Mall this month.

The relaunch will be led by franchisee Version3 Limited, a locally owned business headed by Pamela Bonira and GM Khan Wyman.

“We’re proud and privileged to bring back this much-loved brand to Kiwi customers who share our values,” said Wyman.

“Our vision is simple: to provide high-quality, ethical products while rebuilding strong relationships with our community.

“We expect organic growth in 2026 and beyond and plan for at least two more stores across the country in the coming years, guided by customer feedback and demand.”

The Body Shop’s relaunch in New Zealand will include a new e-commerce platform and the reintroduction of its products, which range from skincare and haircare to bath and body and fragrance.

“Our re-entry into New Zealand represents another milestone in our growth strategy for The Body Shop,” said Mike Jatania, CEO and chairman of The Body Shop.

“By combining a locally led approach with our global standards of ethical beauty, we are strengthening our presence in a market where demand for purpose-driven, high-quality products is growing.

“This launch will not only reconnect us with a passionate customer base but also contribute to the sustainable, long-term growth of our business.”

The relaunch comes as The Body Shop prepares to celebrate its 50th anniversary next year.
