Food-delivery platform DoorDash has launched in Christchurch marking a significant “milestone” for the business.

The launch comes five months after DoorDash made its New Zealand debut, operating in Wellington.

Rebecca Burrows, DoorDash’s regional GM of Australia, New Zealand and Canada, said the business has received great feedback from more than 500 merchants so far.

“We have built great relationships with our Wellington merchants and many national brands have said they are looking to expand with us into Christchurch.”

Christchurch locals can now get deliveries from an array of local restaurants, convenience stores and cafes by downloading the app. New customers can also get free deliveries for their first month.
