Menswear brand Rodd & Gunn expands US footprint

New Zealand menswear brand Rodd & Gunn will open three new stores in the US this year, one in Westfield Valley Fair in Santa Clara in March, another in Broadway Plaza in Walnut Creek in July and one in Tysons Galleria in September.

The new stores will bring Rodd & Gunn’s total US store count to 12.

Set in 146sqm of floor space, the retailer’s Valley Fair store and the Broadway Plaza one will feature the brand’s recognised apparel known for its pure New Zealand merino wool.

In addition to its apparel, the stores will also offer Rodd & Gunn footwear along with an array of bespoke leather luggage pieces all handcrafted in New Zealand.

The clothing retailer also announced its stores worldwide will soon be displaying its S/S 20 collection with the range focusing on sustainable and renewable fabrics.

Mike Beagley, Rodd & Gunn CEO, said the stores in the Bay Area perfectly align with the brand’s target demographic of men who appreciate premium quality, effortless style and clothes that can be worn for work, play and everything in between.

“We’re excited to continue our growth here in such a dynamic hub of innovation and influence,” Beagley said.

The retailer’s other US stores are located in Newport Beach, Los Angeles, San Diego, Dumbo/Brooklyn, Greenwich, Dallas and Bellevue.

Rodd & Gunn earlier announced it plans to have 12 US stores by 2020.
