Pop up store serves pressed raw juice in keeping with times

Pressed Raw Juice Bar2Cold pressed juices are sweeping the globe and Auckland is the next cab off the rank to ride the cold pressed fresh juice wave.

Pressed Raw Juice Bar has popped up in Shortland Street, Auckland, bringing “raw juice for the people”.

The Pressed team believe everyone has the right to good nutrition, so it does not blend, blitz or squeeze the juice – it presses it.

Pressing translates into gentler handling of the vitamins, minerals and enzymes extracted or an orientation of “no compromise on goodness”.

The pop up store, designed and project managed by the Pop Up Now by Spaceworks team, made the store and vision come to life in just under five weeks.

To the untrained eye it would be hard to believe the store is just a pop up and set to close its doors on Christmas Eve 2015.

Pressed Raw Juice BarThe Pop Up Now team was briefed to bring the concept to life by delivering on a “here today, gone tomorrow” store which oozes fresh, healthy and raw.

As it needs to have the facilities to make the juice on-site, it is truly is the freshest cold pressed juice available in New Zealand.

The technology enhanced cold press juice bar is the future of juice retail. A plethora of fresh ingredients on-site means there is a standard range of juices ready to be drunk. However, the customer also has the ability to order a custom juice which the Pressed crew will then press within minutes to meet the customer’s specific requirements.

This pop up juice bar is also on the move, bringing “Raw juice to the people”.

Its partnership with Urban Sherpa means people in Auckland CBD offices can have fresh juices delivered to their door within 30 minutes of ordering from www.pressed.co.nz within standard office hours. Delivery is free between 0900 and 1100 and 1400 and 1500 weekdays.
Pressed Raw JuiceThe design is energising, authentic and genuine.

It is achieved by creating a fresh clean aesthetic with a herringbone tile back wall (using routed MDF), and the logo in ply to pop out of the tile, embodying a sense of power and energy.

A false wall was installed to reduce the space and to make it feel welcoming and comforting, with the furniture created from scaffold posts and ply and the front counter featuring a yellow scaffold and mesh panel to add a pop of colour.

A custom bike floats seamlessly from the ceiling and graffiti-style wall graphics donate an urban oomph.

Lighting is custom-made black steel pendants and wall lights creating drama and appeal, with greenery installed throughout to give a nod to the freshness and goodness the juices provide.

The design creates a real juxtaposition between urban grit and fresh and natural. This is exactly the vision we brought to life in such a short time and, like any well-designed pop up store, everything can be lifted up and taken away without too much effort or hassle.
