Taco Truck’s crowd funding campaign

The Lucky Taco

For the past eight months the talented duo from one of New Zealand’s most successful food trucks, The Lucky Taco, has been working behind the scenes on a Kickstarter campaign in a bid to raise $100,000 for their latest venture.

Launched today by Sarah and Otis Frizzell, the pair hopes to manufacture and produce two Lucky Taco Kits for retail, namely Sizzlin’ Steak and Chipotle Chicken, as well as two Mexican pickles, Pink Pickle & Exciting Carrots.

If the couple hits their target of $100,000 Sarah Frizzell says it will be one the most successful rewards-based crowd funding campaigns in NZ.

“We’re offering our backers the chance to be the first in the world to get their hands on one of our tasty taco kits, to tell us what they think, and to be part of the journey.”

They are not asking for money for nothing as their intent is to create ambassadors for the brand.

“People can pledge as little as $5 and receive a DIY mini Lucky Taco Truck and a personal thank you email. If you front up with $5,000 you get the full Lucky Taco Experience at your home. Plus there are plenty of great rewards in between to suit any budget. There are super early bird deals if you get in quick.”

The Frizzells say their products are ready to go; tried, tested and loved for the past two years at The Lucky Taco truck.

“Our customers have always been the reason for creating our products. We’re constantly being asked for our recipes such as salsas, pickles and marinades. Our Lucky Taco kits give our customers everything they need in one box.”

With distribution in place, all the Frizzells need is backing from the public to get started. To get on board, check their Facebook page for the launch of the campaign on July 6 at https://www.facebook.com/theluckytaconz.
