Another notch for Nosh

Nosh Greenlane 2 copyNosh Food Market  will open  news store in Pakuranga, Auckland by the middle of 2015.

The new 630sqm store on Pakuranga Hwy opposite Pakuranga Plaza shopping centre will be Nosh’s eighth, and will showcase a new layout for the brand.

Nosh is a market-style food retailer, bringing together a butchery, bakery, delicatessen, and greengrocer under one roof. It focuses on quality fresh food and produce at affordable market prices.

Nosh GM, Rod de Vries, says he expects the store to create 20 new jobs in the area.

“It’s a flagship store, and while we do have a strong policy of promoting from within, especially on the management side, we still see the need extra staff for our eighth store so we’re about to start recruiting.”

de Vries says there are two drivers behind Nosh’s move east of the Tamaki River.

“Pakuranga Rd is a busy gateway to the eastern beaches of Auckland and we see the opening of a branch there as a great opportunity to grow our reach in to an area where the residents are typical of Nosh shoppers.

“We believe it’s also a great time to reinvigorate the Nosh brand by showcasing a new more modern layout providing an improved instore experience for our customers. Eastern Bays residents will be first to get a taste of the new face of Nosh,” said de Vries.

The new Pakuranga store will stock the full Nosh range including deli, bakery, produce, grocery, butchery, seafood, alcohol, and a small café.

It is expected to open in July or August subject to fitout.

Other Nosh stores are located at Glen Innes, Greenlane, Mt Eden, Ponsonby, Constellation Drive, Matakana, and Mt Maunganui.
