Sportwear apparel brand LSKD is set to open its first New Zealand store within a year.

The plan was revealed as the company opened its first store in Melbourne, Victoria, and promised another four in Australia within the same time period. The location of the New Zealand outlet has yet to be revealed.

The Melbourne store – at the Chadstone shopping centre – features a retail space of 154sqm and will display core styles as well as new collections. With grey as the main colour running throughout the store concept, the brand aims to highlight its “chase the vibe mission” with a black facade and walls decorations displaying the company’s core values.

The store is set to open next month, and LSKD’s CEO Jason Daniel says the team is eager to strengthen ties with the Melbourne community.

“It is a very surreal feeling seeing the store build start,” said Daniel. “The team is really looking forward to the store opening and we can’t wait to connect with new members and create a community there.”

LSKD (Loose Kid), founded in 2007, is a Brisbane-based athleisure brand that specialises in functional sportswear with a street aesthetic. The brand opened its first physical store earlier this year in Loganholme, Queensland, inside its 4000sqm headquarters.
