Retail NZ has opened nominations for the Retail NZ Awards this year, introducing new categories and a public voting component.
The program is open to all physical and online retailers operating in New Zealand, with the final gala scheduled for September 3 at the Hilton Hotel in Auckland.
The 2026 awards feature 10 total categories, including the debut of the Young Retailer of the Year Award, designed for retail professionals aged 25 and under.
Additionally, the organisation has introduced a People’s Choice Award, allowing the public to nominate their preferred physical or digital stores.
Returning categories for the 2026 cycle include the Technology Innovation Award, Sustainability Leadership Award, and the coveted Lifetime Contribution Award.
“Nominations for all awards categories close on May 17th, with the public able to vote for their preferred winner when we reveal the finalists later that month,” said Carolyn Young, CEO of Retail NZ.
