Petdirect has introduced a two-hour delivery option in Auckland and Christchurch to supplement its existing same-day shipping services.

The new rapid-delivery option is available for eligible products and locations, with real-time tracking provided to customers via the DoorDash platform.

Taylor Jones at Petdirect said the expansion is a response to increasing consumer demand for immediate fulfilment.

The service runs alongside Petdirect’s existing ‘Evening Express’, a weekday same-day delivery model where orders placed before a specific cutoff are delivered between 6 pm and 9 pm in selected metro areas.

“By expanding our delivery options, and with more locations supporting fulfilment, we are making it easier for pet parents to get what they need, whether that is planning ahead during the day with Evening Express or getting supplies delivered within hours.”

Last year, Petdirect announced the opening of two stores and plans for further launches across New Zealand.
