Online meat delivery service The Meat Box has joined forces with Neat Meat to expand its premium product offering, including Southern Station’s Wagyu, SpeckleBeef, and duck meat.

The partnership comes after Neat Meat closed its online store and sought a new retail channel to continue offering its products directly to consumers.

“With the closure of our online shop, we wanted to find a like-minded company that allowed our customers to still enjoy these great products,” said Joel Reichardt, head of sales and marketing at Neat Meat. “The Meat Box is a family-owned company like ours. It believes in quality, so there was a natural fit.”

A New Zealand-owned supplier to the retail, foodservice, and meal-kit sectors, Neat Meat sources from local farmers who follow ethical and sustainable practices.

The Meat Box – also a locally owned business – delivers meat, produce, and groceries nationwide, with a focus on sourcing from New Zealand producers.

“Being able to offer premium meat like Southern Station’s NZ Wagyu provides a convenient way for consumers to access quality products while supporting New Zealand farmers,” said Wayne Kennerley, CEO of The Meat Box.

“There is an increasing amount of imported meat in New Zealand, we’re focused on offering local options.”
