JB HiFi is set to open its second store in Christchurch on November 2 – a store the company’s New Zealand MD Tim Edwards promises will be “the country’s best-looking store”.

The store will be located at South City Mall along Moorhouse Ave. 

JB HiFi said that it will bring a fresh store look to the new Christchurch store, which forms part of the company’s expansion plans in New Zealand following store openings and refurbishments in the country.

“The opening of the South City store is an exciting step for the JB Hi-Fi brand. The resurgence of the South City mall meant the centre felt like a natural progression for a second Christchurch store,” said Edwards.

Kiwi band Drax Project – currently in the middle of an Australian tour – will perform live at the opening. “It’s great to have the boys make a special trip to New Zealand to celebrate the new Christchurch store,” said Edwards.

“We’re retail done differently. We want our stores to be a fun shopping experience, no matter what you’re looking for. As the home of music and movies, it’s great to be able to celebrate the new store with some great Kiwi music,” said Edwards.
