New World names Giselle Bleakley as its new marketing chief

Giselle Bleakley has been appointed Foodstuffs New Zealand’s new head of marketing and customer experience for New World.

She had previously worked with Asahi Beverages, New Zealand for over eight years and was instrumental in the launch of the Long White brand, achieving a record market share in the beer and wine categories.

“This is my dream job, it allows me to bring together my experience developing teams, creating customer-focused marketing and brand strategies, all while leveraging a love for all things food-related,” said Bleakley.

She has also held several key leadership positions in marketing and sales spanning industries like retail, fast food and dairy.

Dominic Quin, group GM of marketing and CX, Foodstuffs NZ, said Bleakley is a highly skilled insight-driven professional and would make a great fit to lead the next phase of New World’s customer-driven journey.
