Retailers dominate Newmarket Business Awards

The winners of Newmarket Business Awards 2021 have been unveiled – most of them retailers – spanning 12 categories.

Auckland-based cafe Newbie and restaurant White & Wong’s were named as Best Cafe of the Year and Best Restaurant of the Year respectively.

Retailer of the Year went to fashion brand Superette, while Australian department store David Jones won International Retailer of the Year. Meanwhile, Michael Holmes Premium Eyewear was noted the Newmarket People’s Choice.

“It is exciting to see some new names in the mix, but equally huge respect to some of our familiar old brands who get it right year after year,” said Mark Knoff-Thomas, CEO of Newmarket Business Association.
