Paymark names new chief executive officer

New Zealand payment service Paymark has appointed Maxine Elliott as its new chief executive.

Start in March, Elliott will replace former-CEO Liam O’Reilly.

Elliott formerly acted as Paymark’s chief product and marketing officer, joining the business in 2017 after 14 years in the telecommunications industry.

“I’m extremely honoured to be appointed CEO of Paymark, and look forward to the challenge of guiding the company through the opportunities ahead in the dynamic industry we’re in,” Elliott said.

“One of my key focus areas will be to keep momentum and further develop our strong culture of development and delivery.”

According to Paymark, it is responsible for more than 70 per cent of New Zealand’s EFTPOS transactions, with over 100,000 terminals across the country.
