Changing consumer behaviour has lead to the second Mazda Connect store opened across New Zealand at the new PWC centre on Wellington’s waterfront.

The store offers an interactive showroom space which allows customers to discover the design, technology, safety and performance of the vehicle range through an interactive digital brochure, which can be accessed through three large touch screens or a mobile device.

Capital City Mazda dealer principal Matthew Carman said that, in today’s digital environment, most customers have already made a decision before stepping foot into the showroom through independent research and online reviews.

“We might discuss some options around accessories and possible the colour choices but in most cases, they have made up their mind about this as well,” Carman said.

Up to two vehicle models will be on display in the store, with staff able to provide insight into the full range which will be accessible via the digital brochures.

“The response to the first Mazda Connect in Silverdale in Auckland’s Rodney District has been very positive,” Mazda New Zealand managing director David Hodge said.

“We believe Mazda Connect will not only provide a fantastic experience for customers, but we envision it becoming a hub for the local business community.”
