Hallenstein Glasson appoints independent director

Hallensteins DunedinAuckland-based clothing retailer Hallenstein Glasson Holdings Limited announced the appointment of Mary Devine ONZM as an independent non-executive director.

Devine has over a decade of experience at a governance level across a range of industries from retail, energy and insurance through to consumer goods.

“We are very pleased Mary has agreed to join us,” said Warren Bell, chairman of directors.

“She has strong retail knowledge and expertise in both the Australian and New Zealand marketplaces, and has worked with a variety of leading Australasian brands and retailers.”

Devine has come from senior executive roles in a number of large private and listed companies, including managing director of Ballantynes, CEO of Ezibuy, CEO of Max Fashions as well as managing director of her own brand Survival Apparel.

Devine received the Honorary Queens award of an Officer of the New Zealand Order of Merit (ONZM) for services to business, due to her ongoing commitment to the New Zealand business community.
