JB Hi-Fi’s new director appointment

JBMark Powell has been appointed as a non-executive director of JB Hi-Fi, effective from March 13.

The electronics and whitegoods retailer’s chairman, Greg Richards, announced the appointment today, with Powell also appointed as an additional appointee ahead of the company’s AGM in October.

Powell has over 30 years of retail, wholesale and logistics experience, holding senior positions including as Group CEO of the Warehouse Group in New Zealand, UK logistics director for Tesco PLC and as an adviser to the board of The Good Guys before it was sold to JB.

“Mark brings great experience across a range of areas as well as an in-depth knowledge of The Good Guys business,” said Richards.
