Mitre 10 cutting Fly Buys scheme

Mitre 10 MEGAHome improvement retailer, Mitre 10, is withdrawing from the Fly Buys loyalty program next month following an internal review of available programmes.

Last month the retailer announced it is joining Air New Zealand Airpoints.

“We have greatly valued our long term association with Fly Buys, and our customers who are Fly Buys members can continue to earn Fly Buys points on their purchases at all Mitre 10 and Mitre 10 Mega stores throughout the country right up until our change-over to the new programme on November 1, 2016,” said Dave Elliott, GM marketing, Mitre 10.

According to Elliott, the changes follow an in-depth review on “how they can best stay close to and understand their customers and take full advantage of current and future technologies to offer them the most satisfying and rewarding experience while shopping at Mitre 10.”

“At that point we move exclusively to our partnership with Airpoints.”

“Over the coming weeks we will be in touch with our customers directly, including members of our Mitre 10 Home Improvement and Mitre 10 Garden Clubs and our trade customers to explain the changes to our loyalty programme,” he added.
