Whitcoulls opens two stores

JPG_Whitcoulls_Centre_Place_2013Whitcoulls is opening two stores in Auckland as a result of customer demand. One is in the heart of the CBD at 55-57 High St, which opens its doors on November 12, and the second is in the new Northwest Shopping Centre in West Auckland.

The range for Whitcoulls High St is being determined by the interests and requirements of central city customers who are committed book buyers. That means that the book offering at its High Street store will be strong, and further boosted on opening by the release of Dan Carter’s My Story.

Both Whitcoulls High St and Northwest will host instore signings for World Rugby player of the year, Carter, on November 17. The stores in Riccarton Christchurch and Botany Downs will also host signings for Carter on November 15 and 17.

“Our customers made it very clear that they wanted to see us in the city and, as the business continues to thrive under James Pascoe ownership, it is timely that we are there in time for Christmas,” said Whitcoulls book manager, Joan Mackenzie.

“Recent months have shown that our customers are loving our stock selection from fun and educational games and toys through to a wide selection of fashion stationery and gifting, and a terrific range of books. Books remain close to our heart and this year’s lineup, along with some fantastic leisure and entertainment products, is among the best the team at Whitcoulls has seen in a long time. We are confident that we will deliver a very special Kiwi Christmas to everyone.”
