Kmart has opened its largest New Zealand store yet at Westgate Town Centre in Auckland, marking the debut of its Plan C+ store format in the country.

Spanning 6700sqm, the store is also its third 24-hour location in New Zealand, joining Sylvia Park and Manukau.

Kmart says its Plan C+ format aims to simplify the shopping experience through larger departments, improved product presentation, expanded self-service technology, and more efficient store operations.

At Westgate, customers will find larger departments across categories, including womenswear, beauty, and home, alongside enhanced product displays, Select & Collect, expanded self-service checkouts, and a simplified front-of-store layout.

“Westgate is an important investment for Kmart Group and the first time we’re bringing our Plan C+ format to our New Zealand customers,” said Aleks Spaseska, MD of Kmart Group.

“We make it easier for customers to find what they need while continuing to deliver the low prices they know and trust.”
