Vienna-based pre-paid online payment, Paysafecard, has launch in New Zealand.
The product has been available in Australia since 2013. According to Paysafecard, the inclusion of New Zealand adds a digital information society with strong internet and smartphone usage in comparison to other countries.
More than 87 per cent of NZ’s 4.4 million people actively use the internet and the penetration of mobile devices is 100 per cent.
Udo Müller, CEO of Paysafecard, said NZ is a digital information society.
“Based on experience, it is, therefore, particularly receptive to a fast and safe online payment method,” Müller said.
“For this reason, we view Paysafecard as an attractive and long awaited prepaid solution for customers. At the same time, we are delighted to be able to add New Zealand as the 40th country to the Paysafecard world map. It is a highly advanced national economy and digital pioneer.”
