BurgerFuel has opened its first store in Brisbane, Queensland, the second major territory for the chain in Australia.
The store is part of the Emporium Brisbane, a luxury retail and dining precinct, which is home to fashion retailers, cafes and restaurants, and renowned for its international architectural design aesthetic.
The first BurgerFuel stores in Australia were opened in Sydney’s Newton and Blacktown suburbs, with a further store to open in Queensland’s Gold Coast.
“We’re thrilled to be opening in another major city in Australia. Queensland is a promising territory for us and our next restaurant to open, located in the Gold Coast, is now also nearing completion,” Craig Notman, BurgerFuel Australasia GM, said.
The Brisbane BurgerFuel store is the first franchised restaurant opened via the company’s Subway connection, following a deal signed at the beginning of 2014 with Franchise Brands, Subway’s associate company.
