Kmart is bringing its Plan C+ store format to New Zealand for the first time, with its largest Kiwi store yet set to open at Auckland’s Westgate Town Centre.
Launching on September 10, the 6700sqm store will become the retail giant’s third 24-hour store in Aotearoa alongside its Manukau and Sylvia Park outlets, providing over 200 local job opportunities.
The Plan C+ format, according to the retailer, will combine refreshed store layouts, enhanced product coordination, new technologies and service options designed to make shopping simpler and more convenient for customers.
“New Zealand is an important part of Kmart’s growth story”, said Aleks Spaseska, Kmart Group’s MD. She said this new Westgate store demonstrates the company’s ongoing investment in the market and its confidence in building for the long term.
“As the first New Zealand store to feature our Plan C+ format, Westgate brings together a more convenient shopping experience with the everyday low prices New Zealand families know and trust.”
The opening will take its store count in the country to 28.
