Australian retailer the Winning Group has crossed the Tasman with its first retail showroom opening in Newmarket.

Located in Morrow Street, the move follows the company’s online debut in the country in 2022 through its Appliances Online business. 

“We are thrilled to be bringing our world-class showroom offering and operations to our friends across the Tasman,” Ed Brenac, GM of Winning Group, said.

“It is going to be our privilege to work with Kiwis to bring their home-design dreams to life.”

Brenac added that the move came shortly after the group received positive feedback as a partner of NZ Design Week.

“The addition of our Newmarket showroom is a genuine commitment to the New Zealand market. Our heritage is built on innovation, relationships, and a deep understanding of how Australians and now New Zealanders live in their homes, and we continue to evolve while staying true to our family values and service-first philosophy,” he said.

The move comes shortly after the family-owned business revealed a significant investment from private equity firm Ellerston Capital, and the resignation of its CEO, John Winning.
