New Zealand stationery and office goods provider Office Max has appointed Adrian Blake as its new MD.

Blake succeeds Kevin Obern, the company’s 13-year veteran, who will retire at the end of next month.

He previously worked at Suntory Oceania and Mondelēz International, advancing from commercial, category, and sales roles to GM at Fletcher Steel.

The company says he brings an extensive background in B2B markets and a proven track record of leading high-performing teams.

“This is a business that has built strong customer relationships by adapting to change. With a clear sector focus, we’ll build on that momentum, shaping solutions around customer needs and delivering sustainable growth,” said Blake.

During his tenure, Obern oversaw Office Max’s operations to enhance its market position, adapt to major industry changes, and provide reliable solutions to thousands of businesses and schools across the country.
