Cooks Coffee has entered into a master franchise agreement to launch its Esquires Coffee brand in India, marking a milestone in the company’s growth strategy.

The agreement has been signed with Sterling Coffee House, a Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) established to manage the venture. Under the terms of this agreement, Sterling Coffee House will oversee the development and operation of the Esquires business across India, with ongoing support from Cooks Coffee to ensure it remains consistent with its global standards.

Keith Jackson, executive chairman of Cooks Coffee, said India represents a dynamic and growing market. The country’s market size for coffee retail chains was valued at US$18.83 billion for the year ending March, driven by rising urbanisation, increasing disposable income, and a growing coffee culture.

“We are confident that Sterling Coffee Houses will be a great partner in bringing the Esquires brand to new customers across India,” said Jackson.

“This partnership will enable us to extend our brand presence, with our partner benefiting from the proven operational support provided by our teams in the UK and Ireland.”
