Woolworths takes Everyday Rewards program trans-Tasman

Woolworths is synchronising its Everyday Rewards program across New Zealand and Australia so members can save on groceries and everyday needs, and earn points, when shopping at the group’s stores on either side of the Tasman.

Australians who visit New Zealand can earn points for every NZ dollar spent at Woolworths New Zealand stores (previously bannered Countdown) while also benefiting from member pricing. According to the company, this move adds to the hundreds of dollars in savings available through the program in Australia when members take advantage of deals and scan their cards at Woolworths, Big W, and other partner retailers.

Everyday Rewards points can be earned in Australia at Woolworths, Metro, BWS, Big W, Bupa, HealthyLife, MyDeal, Milkrun, Everyday Market, Origin Energy, and Australia’s largest Loyalty Fuel partner network, which includes over 1000 EG and Ampol gas stations.

“With New Zealand being one of the top destinations for Australians to visit for a holiday or to see family, this significant change to our program will provide our members with more opportunities to collect points, leading to a lot more savings everyday, at the checkout,” said Everyday Rewards ANZ MD Hannah Ross.

Everyday Rewards debuted in New Zealand in February, succeeding the previous program OneCard. Since the move, 1.7 million Everyday Rewards members in New Zealand have saved money on groceries and gasoline, and more than 1 million vouchers have been spent.
