The Warehouse Group has named Mark Stirton as its group CFO, effective April 1.
Stirton has been CFO at Mr Price Group, one of the largest retailers in South Africa, since January 2019, and before that group financial director.
“Mark brings a wealth of experience in the omnichannel value retail market from his time with Mr Price Group and will bring significant strategic, executional and financial expertise to the group’s executive leadership team,” says Nick Grayston, CEO of The Warehouse Group.
Celia Mearns will continue as acting CFO until Stirton assumes his new position.
Founded by Stephen Tindall in 1982, The Warehouse Group is the country’s largest general merchandise retailer with over 260 retail stores, online stores, distribution centres and overseas sourcing offices in China and India. Its brands include The Warehouse, Warehouse Stationery, Noel Leeming, Torpedo7, and TheMarket.
