Returning from its hiatus since 2019, New Zealand Fashion Week: Kahuria has returned and is set to run between August 29 to September 2.

The event will feature more than 50 shows, events, talks and seminars across a week and will focus on sustainability, inclusivity and cultural identity.

The event will bring together established and emerging designers in two rooms – The Runway and The Studio.

Over 10 Maori and Pasifika designers will showcase their creativity this year and create a platform to connect local and global buyers.

Yasmin Farry, GM of New Zealand Fashion Week: Kahuria, said there’s a “renewed energy” and is confident this year’s event is going to be something special.

“All the plans are in place and there’s a fantastic program of runway shows, talks and events designed to be accessible and provide inspiration for everyone.”

The program has introduced a ‘Fashion Night’ on September 1 and will focus on promoting emerging talent, fostering an inclusive and diverse environment, and celebrating creativity and individuality.
