Welcome to our annual report celebrating some of the most trendsetting retailers across the Asia-Pacific region: the 20 Coolest Retailers in Asia.
The report, now in its second year, celebrates some of the most daring, innovative and fresh retailers across a broad range of categories, as well as those focusing on more than just business-as-usual. Included are brands turning toys into a way of life, convenience stores mixing retro-futurism with cutting-edge technology, and new approaches to department store shopping.
“To make our list, brands need to have that elusive X factor that captures the minds and hearts of customers,” said Inside Retail’s head of news Robert Stockdill.
“Some of the retailers we selected had eye-catching store designs and a novel approach to the retail category – some were easily Instagrammable, others offered customers an unusual experience… We also selected retailers from the entire region, from Vietnam and South Korea to India and Hong Kong.”
