H&M to open fifth NZ store in April 2019

h&m-store-facadeSwedish fashion retailer H&M will open its fifth store in New Zealand in April 2019 at Tauranga Crossing.

The new store, the retailer’s first in the Bay of Plenty, will feature a range of apparel, underwear and accessories for men, women, kids and baby.

The global retailer opened its first New Zealand store at Sylvia Park Mall in Auckland in 2016 and now has stores in Britomart, The Crossing in Christchurch and Queensgate in Lower Hutt.

The new H&M store is part of a broader redevelopment underway at the shopping centre. Developers announced in July that they are on track to meet the mall’s April 2019 unveiling.

Upon completion, the 45,000sqm shopping complex will house 27 restaurants and eateries along with another 80 fashion, general merchandise and service retailers, including a two-level mall galleria and dining area.

The shopping centre complex will be serviced by more than 1700 carparks.
