Clearance Shed renames itself Crackerjack

UntitledThe Clearance Shed has announced it will be dropping the ‘clearance’ brand name, instead reintroducing itself as Crackerjack.

The Clearance Shed was initially used to sell through clearance products, but has since evolved its business model and strategic plan to offer new product ranges and quality brands.

“Our customer research told us that while they clearly understood that we offered great value, the world ‘clearance’ has a quality perception which was limiting our future growth,” said Craig Faulkner, Crackerjack CEO.

“Over the last three years our stores have evolved to be less of a traditional clearance model to planned category buying, so the time is right to remove Clearance from our name.”

Faulkner notes that the Crackerjack name is a good fit as it is “unique”, and describes what the team do.

“The team hunt the globe for crackerjack deals. We are passionate about sourcing even better value products for our price-savvy customers.”

While the name will change, much of the branding will stay the same, with the company’s black and yellow colouring and hunting down mascot, Hunter, remaining alongside tagline, “The Bargain Hunter’s Best Friend.”

The new look will be rolled out across all stores this week, with celebrations planned in every store on Saturday 4th or Sunday 5th, including a free sausage sizzle, games and giveaways.

The Clearance Shed was established in 2009, and has been under new ownership since 2015.
