Jewellery retailer appoints another ex-Michael Hill executive

SueSzylvester-Secrets-CMOJewellery retailer, Secrets, has appointed Sue Szylvester as its new chief marketing officer.

Szylvester, who was previously Michael Hill’s CMO,had been consulting for Secrets over the past 18 months and will join the jewellery chain to help steer the brand’s growth.

“The stunning designs perfectly crafted in 10 and 14 carat gold are the everyday luxury jewellery pieces every woman desires,” Szylvester said.

“Secrets is a market leader in affordable, high-end bridal jewellery. By boldly offering couples ‘a new way to be engaged’, the globally recognised brand appeals to the non-conventional ethical consumer who doesn’t want to spend a mortgage on a rock,” she added.

The news comes following last week’s announcement of the new business partnership between former Michael Hill CEO, Mike Parsell, and Secrets co-founder, Jane Meredith.

Secrets customises diamond simulants and coloured stones into crafted collectible jewellery and has stores in Noosa (Sunshine Coast); Chermside and Indooroopilly (Brisbane); Pacific Fair (Gold Coast); Sydney CBD; Carillon City (Perth); Chadstone and Melbourne CBD.
