Warehouse Group eyes Rolleston development

the_warehouse_storeThree of The Warehouse Group brands are set to open as part of the new Rolleston development in South Island.

The Warehouse, Warehouse Stationery and Noel Leeming will open their doors in late 2017, occupying up to 7,400sqm of floor space.

Bought in 2014, the site is being jointly developed by Eldamos Investments and Rolleston Retail Limited and will include the three stores among a range of other new outlets planned for the site.

The Warehouse store has been designed as a modernised, one-stop family shopping destination and will be double the size of the existing store in Rolleston; offering a wider complement of products, including a garden centre.

Warehouse Stationery will provide customers with a range of stationery, art and craft, and technology devices, as well as print and copy services.

“We’re thrilled to offer some great bargains to the Rolleston community across our new stores – whether it be the latest homewares and day to day essentials, office and school gear, print and copy services or the latest technology,” said Pejman Okhovat, CEO, The Warehouse and Warehouse Stationery.

“We already have a great relationship with the local community here and we’re excited to continue that and expand our store network in this growing area.”

The Noel Leeming store will be home to a range of whitegoods, television and audio, and leading technology products including drones, devices and wearable technology. Tim Edwards, CEO of the electronics chain, said the store layout will be designed to maximise the customer shopping experience.

“We’re delighted to open in Rolleston for the first time and look forward to offering the community access to a range of big brands, as well as other leading appliances and technology all within an interactive space,” he said.

Jeff Vesey, leasing agent for Rolleston Retail says in addition to The Warehouse Group stores, there will be a range of retail, service and health tenants.

“Pent up demand for Rolleston retail space has seen high levels of enquiry including close to 40 food operators vying for the five food spaces available,” he said.

Across the Group, the new stores plan to employ approximately 60 full time team members
