“We’ve recently done a bunch of work to better understand how we’re perceived by the New Zealand public. We want to make our brand more consistent, and make sure we’re protecting and nurturing it as best we can,” Trade Me said in a statement yesterday.

“One element of this was reconsidering how our logo represents us, while keeping Kevin centre stage. We love Kev, he’s an important part of our history and our future. Like us, Kev has grown up over the last 16 years. We reckon he better reflects the contemporary Trade Me and where we’re headed next.”

This week the Kiwi company also updated the Trade Me for iPhone app to be a universal iOS app, so it’s now available for iPad users.
