North Face opens in Queenstown

North FaceThe North Face, a global supplier of authentic, technically innovative outdoor apparel, equipment and footwear, is opening a new store in Queenstown, New Zealand.

The shop is located at 36–38 Shotover St, joining the main street of Queenstown that is lined with retail stores, bars and information centres.

This Queenstown concept store joins The North Face Auckland as the second shop to be open in NZ.

“For years we’ve had customers asking where our store is in Queenstown. We are stoked to now offer a stronger presence of The North Face to the adventure-based community of Queenstown, and to those looking to get more involved in the outdoors,” says NZ manager, Lindsay Peak.

The store opening comes at a fitting time, with the NZ Mountain Film Festival taking place in Wanaka and Queenstown throughout early July, of which The North Face is a presenting partner. Global athlete, Alex Honnold, will be speaking in both Wanaka and Queenstown.

“We’re proud of how our local athletes represent both The North Face and NZ on an international scale, and look forward to building a stronger community around our athletes, and events within NZ and with the Queenstown community,” concludes Peak.
