New World opening imminent

New World Browns BayNew World will open a new supermarket at Browns Bay in two weeks.

According to New World owner, FoodStuffs, the finishing touches are now being completed, with the store on track to open on March 17.

The supermarket replaces the former New World Browns Bay which was a block down the road and closed in 2014.

The new supermarket will span 2610sqm and will have 81 car parks.

“We are thrilled to bring a brand new New World offering to Browns Bay,” said Angela Bull, Foodstuffs North Island GM, property development. 

“We have been part of the Browns Bay community for 43 years and have had incredible support and interest right from when our plans to build a replacement store were first announced,” she said.

“With 81 car parks, and access from both Anzac and Inverness roads, the supermarket will allow our customers to do all their fresh food and grocery shopping in a modern and convenient environment.”

Garry Christini, owner-operator of New World Browns Bay, said the store will have plenty of natural light, wide aisles, and a greater range of fresh food and grocery products.

The supermarket is located at 21-23 Anzac Rd, Browns Bay.
