Online Christmas Day sales to increase

warehouseThe Warehouse is predicting that its busiest sales of the year will be Christmas Day, with customers shopping via its online store.

Last year the busiest day of online sales was Christmas Day at 8pm, with shoppers taking advantage of early Boxing Day bargains.

“With a wide online range and better deals than ever before, our expectation is that visits to on Christmas Day will increase by a third on last year,” Simon Turner, The Warehouse CEO, said.

He said that with the recent introduction of revised shopping apps for IOS and android, the company expects more than 50 per cent of visits to the online store to be from mobile devices.

Over 1.2 million New Zealanders visit The Warehouse Group’s sites, including The Warehouse, Warehouse Stationery, Noel Leeming, and Torpedo7, every month, according to Nielsen.
