New World in Orewa is to be refurbished with work expected to start on the Moana Avenue supermarket in the second quarter of 2015, subject to resource consent approval.

The application has been lodged by Foodstuffs North Island Limited.

The refurbishments include work inside the store as well as an improved carpark layout.

The store will be open throughout the improvements.

Angela Bull, Foodstuffs North Island Limited GM property development, said that the proposed refurbishment will bring a lighter, brighter and better shopping experience.

The refurbishment will offer a more spacious retail environment with natural light and wider aisles, along with plenty of car parkings she said.

The new owner operator of the New World Orewa, Catherine Versalko-West, is excited about the new look store, and providing customers with a bigger and brighter store.
