Iconic retailer Noel Leeming has invested over $5 million in refreshing and reconfiguring its 77 stores throughout New Zealand.
The 41 year-old company, the only NZ-owned national electronics retailer, is offering modernised and repainted stores, with specialist services and interactive spaces.
The logo and brand have also been updated with a contemporary look symbolising the evolution of the brand.
“The changes are about ensuring Kiwis continue to enjoy the great customer service that distinguishes Noel Leeming, cementing its position as the number one technology and appliance retailer in New Zealand,” Tim Edwards, Noel Leeming CEO, said.
“As the only national kiwi owned and operated player in our market, NZ is everything to us, and our offering is focused on NZ and not a regurgitation of what others are doing in Australia,” he added.
Edwards said that the company has equipped its stores and staff to support customers in accessing the latest products and technology.
A new television advertising campaign positions Noel Leeming as the store to enable customers to ‘maximise their machine’ and make the most of technology.
Edwards said that the change is one of the biggest steps the company has taken since the opening of the first store in Christchurch in 1973.
“I’m confident it will further build on the solid gains the business has been making since it became part of The Warehouse Group in 2012,” he said.
“Everything about what Kiwis love about Noel Leeming is still here, but we’ve taken a major step forward into the future of technology and home appliances to make it easier to try out, experience, understand and enjoy.”
