Electronic goods retailer Noel Leeming has launched a trade-in program, allowing customers to exchange old gadgets for a gift card to use in-store or online.

Jason Bell, technology lead at Noel Leeming, said the program is designed to help customers save money during tough economic times.

“Right now, customers are counting every extra dollar, and our trade-in program may be all it takes to help them get one step closer to their next device,” he continued.

“Customers can pop online or head into a Noel Leeming store, where our team of passionate experts will be happy to talk them through the four easy trade-in steps and provide support with any questions along the way.”

In partnership with tech company Moorup, the program aims to provide customers with an easier way to assess the value of their smartphones, laptops, tablets, and smartwatches and get some money back to purchase a new device.

Peter Solomon, chief partnerships officer at Moorup, added that the partnership is part of its mission to extend the lives of electronic devices.

“Our mission at Moorup is to make the planet more sustainable and help customers save money with our competitive pricing,” said Solomon. We’re proud to partner with Noel Leeming in launching their first tech trade-in program.”
