New Zealand Red Cross has opened a bigger shop at 184-196 Dominion Road in Auckland, replacing two smaller Red Cross stores in the area.

New Zealand Red Cross shops accept donations of clothing, footwear and accessories, furniture, home and kitchenware, bedding and curtains, appliances, books, CDs and records, and toys and games in good condition.

The organisation is also looking for volunteers for its stores nationwide, including the new “bigger, brighter, better” Dominion Road store.

“People donate quality items, which means they are not going to landfill, and we can then provide an opportunity for valuable pre-loved products to be enjoyed and used by others,” said Talei Kitchingman, retail director at New Zealand Red Cross.

“This service also financially supports Red Cross and our humanitarian work in this community and across New Zealand.”

Kitchingman is urging the community of Mt Eden to visit the store.
