Country Road partners with Kiwi umbrella brand Blunt

Fashion retailer Country Road has collaborated with New Zealand-based brollie maker Blunt to launch limited-edition umbrellas.

The umbrella is designed from Blunt’s Metro umbrella model and comes in a neutral black colour with a button-operated handle in a compact size. It is made with blunt tips which will open within pockets preventing injury to passersby or from being caught on items of clothing.

Kirby Hanrahan, Country Road’s design manager for women’s accessories and footwear, said the umbrellas are engineered in a thoughtful and innovative way making them last for years to come.

“Country Road and Blunt are both fashion and lifestyle brands, so for us, it’s not just important for a product to perform to a high standard, we also want it to look good and to slot in seamlessly with other items in the wardrobe.”

Greig Brebner, Blunt founder, says the collaboration was a highlight for both brands.

“We value quality products that not only provide exceptional experiences but are also beautifully designed and developed with a heightened awareness of the impact they have on the world.”

The umbrella retails for $129 and is available online and in select Country Road stores across Australia and New Zealand.
